What’s so good about IACA Accreditation?

The Institute of Australian Consulting Arboriculturists was founded as an industry association to support the profession of arboricultural consulting as a distinct profession separate to practicing arboriculture. To avoid bias towards tree removal or tree work and the potential perception of bias in the advice given by consulting arboriculturists, membership is limited to consultants who don’t provide tree cutting services. Accreditation requires ongoing professional learning and development each year, and adherence to a Code of Ethics to ensure a high quality of service is provided to clients, and a level of professionalism comparable to architects, town planners and engineers.
